Our Specialty
Japanese thermo-magic straightening, and everything that supports it.
Thirty-three years of doing one thing exceptionally well shapes how we do everything else. Final pricing is set during a free consultation, by the head of hair in front of us — not by a chart.
Signature Service
Japanese Thermo-Magic Straightening
Japanese thermo-magic straightening — also called Yuko or thermal reconditioning — is a specialized permanent straightening process developed in Japan in the 1990s. Unlike relaxers, which can leave hair dry and brittle, this method uses a precise combination of gentle chemistry and controlled heat to reshape the hair's internal bonds.
Done correctly, it produces pin-straight, glass-smooth hair that still moves naturally and reflects light the way healthy hair should. Done incorrectly, it damages hair for years. The difference is training and patience — two things Mr. Ha has been accumulating since the early 1990s.
Every appointment begins with a free consultation where we assess your hair's condition, texture, and previous chemical history. Not every head of hair is a good candidate, and we will tell you honestly if yours isn't. When we proceed, you can expect the result to hold for six months or longer, with only new growth ever needing a touch-up.
Pricing varies by length, density, and condition, so we don't publish a fixed menu for the straightening service. Call (253) 941-8922 and we will walk you through it before you book.
